Rental Terms & Conditions

1. The service

Stack & Tote rents reusable moving totes and related equipment with delivery and pickup. We are a tote rental service, not a moving company, and do not transport your belongings. You must be 18 or older to book.

2. Booking & payment

Submitting the reservation form does not confirm your booking. We will contact you to confirm availability and send a secure payment link. Your reservation is confirmed once payment is received in full before delivery.

3. Rental period

Packages include a 2-week rental beginning on the delivery date. Extensions are available at a weekly rate quoted at booking. Contact us before your scheduled pickup to extend.

4. Delivery & pickup

• Delivery and pickup are free within 15 miles of Freehold, NJ (ZIP 07728). Locations outside this area may incur a distance-based fee quoted before you pay.
• We will coordinate delivery and pickup windows with you. Unattended delivery/pickup is available on request.
• Ground-level delivery and pickup are free. If an entrance has more than 4 outside steps and you ask us to carry the equipment up or down, a flat $10 fee applies per visit. No charge if you handle the stairs yourself.
• A missed appointment where we cannot access the equipment may incur a $30 re-visit fee.

5. Cancellations & rescheduling

• Cancel 24 hours or more before your delivery window: full refund.
• Cancel within 24 hours of delivery: a $25 cancellation fee may apply.
• One free reschedule is included with every booking when requested at least 24 hours before delivery.

6. Care of equipment & replacement fees

• Totes are rated to 65 lbs each. Please don't overload them, stand on them, or use them for anything but household goods.
• Normal wear is expected and free. Lost, unreturned, or damaged-beyond-use equipment is charged at: tote (with lid) $15 · tote dolly $50 · hand truck $100 · moving blanket $10.
• Excessively soiled totes may incur a $3/tote cleaning fee. Please remove tape and personal labels (our label kit inserts remove cleanly).
• Equipment not returned within 30 days of the scheduled pickup is charged at full replacement value.

7. Liability

You are responsible for the equipment from delivery until pickup. Stack & Tote is not liable for damage to items you pack or for delays outside our control. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for your rental.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey.
